Together for a Cause: Supporting MADD Ohio in Memory of Ethan Perry

Ethan Perry, Georgesville Nissan Service Team Member

At Georgesville Nissan, community isn't just something we say in our ads. It's the people we work with and care about every day. Earlier this year, our team lost a colleague and friend, Ethan Perry, whose warmth and presence are deeply missed in our service department and beyond. In the wake of that loss, Ethan's family found comfort and guidance through Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Ohio. The organization stepped in immediately, providing support and resources when they needed it most.

This November, we're joining the Perry family in giving back to an organization that was there for them without hesitation.

Why This Cause Matters to Our Team

Ethan’s family connected with MADD shortly after his passing. Roslyn shared with us that they stepped in right away and made sure she never felt alone while she navigated something no parent should have to face. Their support was personal and genuine, and it meant a lot to everyone close to Ethan.

Inside our store, Ethan’s friends and coworkers felt that impact too. Hearing how much MADD helped the Perry family made all of us want to find a way to contribute. That is what led our Service Manager, Drew Sells, to reach out and ask how we could help give back.

This part of the story is important. It is not a marketing push. It is simply our team wanting to do the right thing for a family that is still part of our dealership.

About MADD Ohio

Mothers Against Drunk Driving is a nonprofit organization that supports victims and families affected by drunk and drugged driving. They also work to prevent impaired driving and underage drinking across the country. Their team and volunteers provide services at no cost, and they are available to help families day or night.

They have a 24 hour victim helpline at 877.MADD.HELP for anyone who has been impacted. They also offer emotional support, guidance through the legal process, and connections to resources during some of the most difficult moments a family can experience.

For the Perry family, this support was immediate and personal. Knowing that an organization like MADD was there to help Roslyn is the reason Drew wanted to bring attention to their work and help others who may need the same support in the future.

How Our Team Is Getting Involved

This effort started with a simple question from our Service Manager, Drew Sells. He wanted to know what we could do as a store to support the Perry family and help MADD continue the work that meant so much to them. Drew reached out to Roslyn and their MADD representative to make sure anything we did would be meaningful and respectful.

From there, Drew organized a November donation drive inside our store. Anyone who wants to take part can contribute in whatever way feels right for them. Drew also offered to help increase the total impact, and at the end of the month a single combined donation will be made to MADD in Ethan’s honor.

This idea came directly from Drew and the people who worked closely with Ethan. It was something they wanted to do from the heart. It reflects the kind of support and teamwork we see every day in our service department.

How You Can Support MADD This Month and Beyond

If you would like to support this effort, the easiest way is to reach out to our service team. They can help you get in touch with Drew or guide you toward the donation drive if you prefer to contribute privately. Even though we are nearing the end of November, support for MADD and the Perry family does not have to end with this month.

If you want to learn more about the organization itself, you can visit madd.org or reach their 24 hour victim helpline at 877.MADD.HELP. Sharing their information or pointing someone toward these resources can make a real difference.

We will always be a place where you can ask about ways to support MADD. Whether you choose to donate, pass along their information, or keep the family in your thoughts, every bit of support helps.

Honoring Ethan and Supporting Families Who Need It

Thank you to Roslyn, to Ethan’s friends, and to the people in our store who cared enough to put this effort together. We appreciate the strength they have shown and the way they continue to honor Ethan’s memory.

We also want to thank MADD for the work they do every day for families across Ohio. Their support played an important part in helping the Perry family during a very difficult time, and we are grateful for everything they provide to the people who need them.

Our hope is that this month’s donation drive brings a little comfort to the Perrys and helps MADD continue the work that meant so much to them. Ethan will always be part of our Georgesville Nissan family, and we will always stand with the people who were closest to him.

Thank you for taking a moment to read and be part of this with us.
